Event Details

The smartphone application, or “app,” market has exploded since the August, 2008 launch of Apple’s iTunes AppStore (which now numbers more than 660,000), and the Android Marketplace launch in 2009 (which now numbers more than 600,000), and now encompasses smartphones, tablets, e-readers, game consoles, and smart TVs. The art of app development, and how producers can strategically create content value through the production of apps, can make the difference between a hit magazine, film, or music project and an also-ran. As higher-bandwidth content, including television and long-form film, comes to the app store and as user uptake of 4G mobile devices proliferate, the app market will become a primary weapon in delivering premium entertainment.

Come learn from some of New York’s most experienced app producers, and see how to make more from your app development budget.
